There is nothing to compare with the joy of owning a really special fishing rod. I specialise in custom-built fly rods made specifically for our own personal customers. I build traditional cane rods and also carbon fibre here in my workshop in Petworth West Sussex.

CUSTOM BUILT CARBON FIBRE FLY ROD

Just like the custom built cane fly rod you can choose reel seats, rod guides and whipping threads. Again, during the building process the rod is fully tested and fine tuned.

Prices vary depending on the exact specification but a typical 9ft rod in carbon fibre will cost around £350.

Time is devoted to the important details that make the difference between an ‘off the shelf’ and a custom built carbon fibre fishing rod.

HAND BUILT CARBON FIBRE FLY ROD

Prices vary depending on the exact specification but a typical 9ft rod in carbon fibre will cost around £250.

These rods are built here in Petworth using the same high quality blanks as with the custom built range but has less expensive reel seats and finished differently.
